In the 2011-12 U.S. News & World Report rankings, Cedars-Sinai was named one of America's best hospitals. Of the 4,825 U.S. hospitals, only 140 were ranked in at least one specialty.

Top-Rated Physician Groups in Los Angeles

Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates, independent physician associations (IPA), both ranked among the top 10 physician groups in Southern California by Integrated Health Care Associates (IHA), a California leadership group of health plans, physician groups, and health systems. They were selected from 225 participating physician groups by the IHA based on their provision of recommended care, patient satisfaction, and investment in information technologies (IT) that support quality care.

Magnet Excellence in Nursing

In 2008 Cedars-Sinai was re-awarded the Magnet Excellence in Nursing designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Cedars-Sinai is one of only six hospitals to receive this designation three times, which recognizes commitment to nursing development and quality care. In 2000 Cedars-Sinai became the first medical center in Southern California to receive Magnet designation. The ANCC found that Cedars-Sinai's nursing services "represent the highest standards in the nation and internationally."
