Teen Volunteers

Teen Volunteer Program

This unique program is created for teens between 14 to 18 years of age. It is designed for teenagers who are looking for community service, searching for ways to help others and their community while having an opportunity to observe medicine and other health related careers. The Teen Volunteer Program will ask that students commit to volunteering for a minimum of one year.  Although hours may be flexible, we do require teens to volunteer to four consecutive hours once a week during the Summer session and decrease the shift to two consecutive hours once a week during the Academic session.  For a sneak peak at our commitments and to see if the program is right for you, check out our Teen Program 2012-2013 Program Flyer .

Teen Volunteers perform clinical or clerical duties:

  • A clinical volunteer helps in a patient care setting to interact with patients, assist in the nursing station, deliver flowers, deliver magazines and performs clerical duties.
  • A clerical volunteer helps with general office duties, including answering phones, computer work and filing, and working on various projects.
