Teen Advisory Board
Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
The role of the Teen Advisory Board is to plan and implement activities for the teen volunteers at Cedars-Sinai. The board will also provide an opportunity to build relationships among teens and to foster personal growth and leadership skills. The Teen Advisory Board acts as the voice of our teen volunteer population and provides invaluable suggestions on issues relevant to teen volunteers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
If you are interested in applying to our 2012-2013 Teen Advisory Board, please check back in late-April to download the application, which will be available online and via email.
"TAB in Training" - now accepting applications!
As teen volunteers, have you ever wondered how you can become more involved at Cedars-Sinai? Have you ever wondered how you can help your peers and become a part of the Teen Advisory Board? Now is your chance, as we are now accepting applications for our "TAB in Training" 2011-2012 Program.
The Teen Advisory Board in Training will allow youth the opportunity to see firsthand what it takes to be a member of the Teen Advisory Board. "TAB in Training" will help plan and implement activities, provide input to staff, and assist in welcoming and mentoring the current teen volunteers. All members will have the goal of being the voice of their peers and will be required to adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by Volunteer Services staff.
This is our first year hosting "TAB in Training" and we are looking forward to those wishing to become more involved. As a board, the goal is to enact change in the Teen Volunteer Program at Cedars-Sinai; the training board will be a unique way to get involved with the current board and help enact those changes. It is a unique opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of your peers, not to mention those of our patients and staff.
