Andrew T. Cohen, MD, is Division Clinical Chief at Cedars-Sinai's Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Cohen's research interests include the cytokine effects in breast capsular contracture and cheek anatomy. He has published research papers on meloplication of malar fat pads by percutaneous contracture and the prevention of complications in breast augmentation.
Dr. Cohen is a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has presented papers on a variety of plastic and reconstructive surgery topics including clinical uses for cosmetic surgery and complex abdominal wound closure.
Dr. Cohen earned his bachelor's of science degree from the University of California, Riverside and his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. He completed a plastic and general surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California and an aesthetic and ocuplastic fellowship at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta. Dr. Cohen has also performed mission work at University del Plata in San Martin, Argentina, specializing in cleft lip and cleft palate surgery.
