Azita Far, MD
Azita Far, MD is an attending physician at The Pain Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is board-certified in both pain management and anesthesiology.
Dr. Far completed her fellowship training at Stanford University in California where she received advance training in sophisicated pain management procedures including spinal cord stimulation and radiofrequency ablation. She also received training in nonsurgical treatments of disc disease such as intradiscal electrothermal annuloplasty, discTRODE annuloplasty and the use of the Stryker Dekompressor® discectomy probe and has extensive experience with cervical and thoracic injections, sympathetic blocks, lysis of adhesions and lumbar provacation discography.
Dr. Far has lectured extensively on topics ranging from spinal cord stimulation for neuropathic pain and complex regional pain syndrome to pharmacological approaches to chronic pain.
After receiving her medical degree from the University of Perugia in Italy, Dr. Far completed a residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York.
Dr. Far is proficient in Farsi, Italian, Turkish and Spanish.
