Joel Barron, MD is a pediatric critical care physician in Pediatric Services at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Barron's main clinical interests are acute lung injury, advanced modes of mechanical ventilation, and post-operative care for patients undergoing surgery for congenital heart disease.
In addition to being a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Barron is an associate member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and a member of Delta Omega Honor Society (public health).
Dr. Barron earned his bachelor's degree from Columbia University, a master's of science in public health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in pediatric critical care at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center.
