L. Stephen Gordon, MD is Medical Director of the Invasive and Interventional Pediatric Cardiology program at Cedars-Sinai.
Dr. Gordon's current interests focus on interventional and diagnostic cardiac catheterization for minimally invasive repair of congenital heart disease. He also is involved in echocardiography and neonatal cardiology. He has a specific interest also in sports medicine and the cardiac evaluation of athletes.
Dr. Gordon is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and he is Board Certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is a member of the American Heart Association Council on Cardiovascular Diseases in the young. He is a past member of the Governing Board of the American Heart Association and Board of Directors of the American Heart Association. He is a past chairman of the San Gabriel Valley region of the American Heart Association. He formerly served as a council member for the California Perinatal Association. Dr. Gordon also has volunteered his time for interventional charity trips to Latin America, providing his services in pediatric cardiac intervention.
Dr. Gordon received his medical degree with honors from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at Stanford University Medical Center and completed his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the University of California Medical Center, San Francisco, California.
