Marc A. Edelstein, MD

Clinical Chief of Gastroenterology

Marc A. Edelstein, MD serves as the clinical chief of Gastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai and is an attending physician in the Division of Gastroenterology within Cedars-Sinai's Department of Medicine. Edelstein is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology.

Edelstein specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He has authored several book chapters and numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications, and he has presented his research at national meetings.

Edelstein has been elected a fellow of the American College of Physicians as well as the American College of Gastroenterology. He has been a member of other professional societies, including the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and the American Medical Association. Edelstein has served on several local and national commitees.

Edelstein received his bachelor's degree and medical degree from Boston University. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology at the UCLA Medical Center. During his training, Edelstein received numerous honors and awards, and he received UNOS certification in transplant hepatology.
