Michel Babajanian, MD is an attending otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Thyroid Cancer Center and the Cedars-Sinai Sinus Center. His primary clinical focus, as a result of his residency training and special interest in the field of head and neck surgery, include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, surgery of salivary gland tumors and the neck, minimally invasive treatments of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea as well as minimally invasive, navigation-guided endoscopic sinus and nasal surgery.

Dr. Babajanian actively participates in continuing medical education programs and activities to maintain and enhance his current expertise with up-to-date familiarity with the newest advances in his area of specialty. On several occasions, he has traveled nationally and internationally to spend time with other expert ear, nose and throat and endocrine surgeons to learn new and innovative surgical techniques.

Board certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, Dr. Babajanian is directly involved in teaching medical students and resident physicians otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at several hospitals and surgical facilities.

Dr. Babajanian earned his bachelor's of science in biology at New York University in 1984. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1988. He completed both his general surgery internship and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City in 1993. He is an active member of American Thyroid Association and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
