Rishi Gupta, MD, is a physician in Supportive Care Medicine at Cedars-Sinai.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai in 2011, Dr. Gupta served as the Chief Fellow in the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He has expertise in the treatment of patients with advanced medical illness, particularly in the areas of acute symptom management, chronic disease management, supportive care and end-of-life care. Dr. Gupta also specializes in the assessment and treatment of pain, including the management of acute post-operative pain.
Dr. Gupta is experienced in providing home hospice care for adults and children through his work with the Metropolitan Jewish Health System in New York City and he has provided symptom management care for outpatients with HIV and other advanced illnesses.
After earning his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Gupta completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
