Career Counselor

Jamie Harris is a nationally certified Career Counselor with experience in the non-profit, academic and private sectors. In this capacity, she has worked in the career development field with diverse student populations at several community colleges and served as an adjunct instructor in the Educational Psychology Departments at the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and at Santa Monica College.

In addition to her work in career development, Ms. Harris has over 17 years of experience in marketing and promotions for large companies, including Dream Works SKG, DIRECTTV and The Walt Disney Company. She served as Senior Director of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team-In-Training program and was program manager for Jewish Vocational Service. Her strengths in teaching and training contributed to fostering successful vocational education and career mentoring programs that supported adults facing multiple barriers to employment.

Ms. Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in counseling with specialization in career counseling from CSUN and is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW).
