Leon Henderson, MD
Leon Henderson, MD is a staff physician for the Division of General Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Board certified in internal medicine and medical genetics, Dr. Henderson has written articles for numerous peer-reviewed publications, including American Journal of Human Genetics, American Journal of Medical Genetics, Chest and Journal of Investigative Medicine. He also authored a chapter on genetic counseling for gastrointestinal patients for Textbook of Gastroenterology, 3rd Edition.
A fellow of the American College of Physicians and member of several other professional societies, Dr. Henderson is actively engaged in applied health services research, focusing on critical appraisal of the medical literature in order to create clinical pathways. He also actively teaches in the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program.
Dr. Henderson received his bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and his medical degree from Cornell University. He completed an internship and a residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai. He also completed a fellowship in medical genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
