Adrienne Youdim, MD

Adrienne Youdim, MD is Medical Director of the Cedars-Sinai Center for Weight Loss. She is also an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Youdim’s clinical and research areas of expertise include obesity and bariatric medicine.
Dr. Youdim lectures extensively on obesity, nutrition, medical and surgical weight loss. She has also chaired several continuing medical education committees at the local and national level.
In addition to publishing several papers in peer reviewed journals, such as Obesity and Endocrine Practice, Dr. Youdim has co-chaired the publication Clinical Practice Guidelines in the Nutritional and Perioperative Care of the Bariatric Surgery Patient.
Dr. Youdim is board-certified in internal medicine and as a physician nutrition specialist. Dr Youdim is a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She is an active member of the The Obesity Society for which she served as chair of the Bariatric Surgery Section, and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Youdim received her bachelors degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She completed an internship and a residency at Cedars-Sinai, as a well as a fellowship in general internal medicine specializing in nutrition and bariatric medicine.
