Alexis Peraino, MD
Alexis Peraino is a physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Weight Loss Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She also participates in the Cedars-Sinai's Ambulatory Care Center and is an attending physician with Cedars-Sinai's Residency Training Program.
Dr. Peraino's research projects include moderate intensity exercise for the treatment of mild hypertension and the Seniors' Health and Independence Program (SHIP). Her clinical focus is on medical and post-surgical weight loss and management at the Weight Loss Center.
Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Peraino is a frequent lecturer focusing on exercise and weight management. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the California Medical Association and the American Medical Women's Association.
Dr. Peraino received her bachelor's of science in exercise physiology from the University of California, Davis and received her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School/Finch University of Health Sciences. She completed her internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai, where she served as Chief Resident, and was awarded the Ben Newman MD Award from the Department of Internal Medicine's residency training program. She also is a member of the Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society.
