Trauma Educator, Outreach & Injury Prevention Coordinator
Donovan Stewart is the Trauma Educator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a Department of Health designated and ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center. He has over ten years of clinical experience in Trauma and Emergency Medicine from ACS verified Trauma Centers. Donovan has worked collaboratively with the Department of Surgery on quality improvement projects and was past trauma nurse liaison.
His experience includes Adjunct Faculty Clinical Instructor at Los Angeles Valley College, Clinical Nurse IV and co-managed Cedars-Sinai Emergency Department. He is currently certified as Mobile Intensive Care Nurse, Certified Emergency Nurse and ATCN Faculty.
He is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, Society of Trauma Nursing, American Trauma Society, Trauma Research Committee, Trauma Performance Improvement Committee, Hospital wide Education Committee, Disaster Preparedness Committee and developed the Multidisciplinary Team Approach to Trauma Committee at Cedars-Sinai.
His role as Outreach & Injury Prevention Coordinator will ensure Cedars-Sinai partnership with surrounding organizations improving all processes related to injury prevention. He is actively involved with local Trauma projects. His involvement includes National Night Out, Roxbury Senior Fair, Safe Kids, and HAVEN.
