Marina Vaysburd, MD

Marina Vaysburd, MD is a board-certified attending physician at the Outpatient Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, a member of the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center - A Project of Women's Guild and the Thyroid Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group. She specializes in the field of clinical oncology and cancer investigation.

Dr. Vaysburd received her bachelor's and medical degrees from Stanford University. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center and Methodist Hospital in Memphis and then completed a hematology/oncology fellowship program at USC/Norris Cancer Hospital. Dr. Vaysburd is board-certified and a diplomate in medical oncology and board-eligible in hematology. 

Dr. Vaysburd is the recipient of several awards for her research. She won the Grand Prix at the Annual Meeting of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology in Paris for her work in cancer immunology. 

Clinically, Dr. Vaysburd is dedicated to treating a wide range of cancers, including lung, gastrointestinal, urologic and blood malignancies. She also has a special interest in the fields of breast cancer and genetic testing for the hereditary form of breast cancer. Dr. Vaysburd is the author of numerous publications and served a principal investigator on a number of clinical trials, including a trial in the arena of breast cancer.  She also pioneered and served as a principal investigator of a clinical trial at the University of Southern California (USC) using a novel cancer therapy agent.  She is a member of a number of Center of Excellence multidisciplinary teams including Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer and Thyroid Cancer within Cedars-Sinai Health System.
