Richard J. Van Allan, MD is an attending staff radiologist at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center. Dr. Van Allan has special expertise in vascular interventional and genitourinary radiology.
A board-certified radiologist, Dr. Van Allan is licensed in New York and California. He was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Southern California (USC), and he supervises and instructs radiology residents in vascular and interventional techniques at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Van Allan is a member of both local and national radiology associations. As an invited speaker, Dr. Van Allan has given numerous presentations in the field of vascular radiology. He has also published several articles and book chapters on the subject of radiology.
A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Van Allan's postgraduate training included an internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital and a radiology residency at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. Dr. Van Allan also completed fellowships in body imaging (computed tomography, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging) and interventional radiology.
