Description: Critical Incident Small Group Interventions course will provide participants with knowledge and practical skills necessary to respond to the emotional needs of colleagues involved in emergency services work, critical care and other compassionate care services when events that are disruptive to the workplace overwhelm or compromise team's usual coping ability. The goal is to return healthy people back to their previous level of functioning, as quickly as possible.

The CISM team is an excellent example of Best Practices and the interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration that occurs in an organization a daily basis. CISM teams are composed of nurses, doctors, mental health clinicians, chaplains, human resource employees and security personnel.

Those who complete the program (both days required) will receive a certificate in “Basic Critical Incident Stress Management”
