Since its inception, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has been helping to assure access to care for those in greatest need. Patients who do not have health insurance, or who are underinsured, may qualify for financial assistance to help pay the cost of the care they receive at Cedars-Sinai. As an integral part of our mission, the financial assistance program helps community members in our primary service area, often low-income individuals who receive emergency care.
When determining eligibility for financial assistance, we look at a number of factors that can affect a patient’s ability to pay, such as household income, assets and family size. Eligible patients may earn up to 450% of the federal poverty level, surpassing requirements of state law and American Hospital Association guidelines.
