Our Healthy Habits program is led by Program Administrator Carolyn Buenaflor, MPH, CHES, who leads a high-energy team of health educators who are passionate about inspiring children and families to be active and eat healthier.
As Program Administrator, Ms. Buenaflor coordinates and manages all aspects of the Healthy Habits program, including program implementation and growth, as well as curriculum development, evaluation and reporting and is responsible for building and nurturing the partnerships that are so vital to the program’s success. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, she performed community health and outreach work for the Perinatal Advisory Council (PAC/LAC).
Active in several professional organizations, Ms. Buenaflor is a member of the Coordination Committee of the LA Collaborative for Healthy and Active Children, a District Chair of the UCLA Alumni Association Freshman Scholarship Program and a Member of COPE Health Solutions Alumni Advisory Board. She earned her master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Health and a bachelor's of science degree also from UCLA and is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
