Our graduates will be expected to be compassionate, technically excellent surgeons who have the desire, background and aptitude to excel in academic neurosurgery. The residency program is designed to meet the complex demands and realities of today's medical environment.
The Department of Neurosurgery has a large, full-time clinical faculty with a wide range of interests and backgrounds. These include state-of-the-art clinical care as well as both translational and basic research programs.

Thank you for your interest in the Neurological Surgery Residency Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We are dedicated to meeting the challenges of providing the finest patient care while providing training to residents dedicated to academic neurosurgery and who will become future leaders of our field.
The residency program is complemented by a team of physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses who assist in the care of the neurosurgical patients. In addition to time spent in the clinical area, the neurosurgical residents are expected to attend conferences, be able to progress academically and be involved in research efforts. In the same spirit, our faculty is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care while maintaining an active research program in their area of interest.
