Gastroenterology
The Cedars-Sinai program is part of the UCLA Affiliated Hospitals Integrated GI Training Program. It offers advanced clinical training, including special investigative and diagnostic procedures, supervised laboratory and clinical research training, as well as teaching responsibilities. The minimal training period is three years. The hospital has a state-of-the-art GI endoscopy unit, where more than 500 diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures are performed monthly. Excellent research facilities and supervision are available in multiple fields of gastroenterology, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, nutrition and motility disorders of the GI tract.
