Psychiatry Residency
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the largest academic private hospital on the West Coast, provides a fully approved, comprehensive, academically based program in psychiatric medicine. Cedars-Sinai offers residents and fellows exposure to the most diverse populations (socio-economic, education, and ethnic) and diagnostic and treatment procedures (psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and other somatic interventions), in a setting that focuses on high one-on-one contact with faculty, and easy access to a wide range of quality of life activities while training.
This offers an outstanding program in general psychiatry, as well as subspecialty care and research, with a balanced clinical foundation upon which physicians develop their own options for future careers in psychiatry.
The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and has received a Letter of Commendation (with zero citations) for substantial compliance with ACGME training standards.
The application deadline for the academic year beginning July 1, 2012 is November 15, 2011.
