A variety of support groups are available for persons who have cancer and their families. These include:
- Community support and information organizations
- Cancer-specific support and information services
- Age- and culture-specific family support groups
- Sarcoma Support Group
- Coping skills for cancer patients
Supplemental Services
The Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute offers a variety of services to supplement the clinical and supportive services received by cancer patients and their families, including:
- Financial counseling to help patients and their families understand the medical insurance system. Individually, we analyze insurance coverage and discuss payment options. The Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute accepts all major insurance plans.
- Housing program coordinated by our social workers. We have established partnerships.
- Transportation Services. Cedars-Sinai coordinates a low-fee local area van service, which is available to our patients without alternative means of traveling to the hospital for necessary medical care.

- We provide complimentary refreshments and snacks that are available throughout the facility.
