Lung Cancer at the Cancer Institute

Lung cancer is the number one killer among cancers in both men and women. It accounts for one-third of all cancer-related deaths in the United States.

The Lung Cancer Clinic at the Women's Guild Lung Institute treats both small cell lung cancer (including oat cell carcinoma) and non-small cell lung cancer, including adenocarcinoma and squamous cell and large cell cancer.

The thoracic surgeons at Cedars-Sinai have been pioneers in developing minimally invasive surgery to treat lung cancer. The Lung Institute offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for diseases of the lung, esophagus, chest wall, airways and mediastinum.
