Measuring the Quality of Care Given to Patients with Head and Neck Cancers
At Cedars-Sinai, the quality of care given to patients with head and neck cancers is continually monitored and reported publicly. Quality of care measures monitored include:
- The volume of procedures done at the Center.
- Readmissions rates.
A number of quality of care measures are reported on a medical center-wide basis. These include:
- Nursing care
- Prevention of hospital-acquired infections
- Surgical care measures including surgical infection prevention and blood clot prevention
Additionally, Cedars-Sinai participates in the National Research Corporation's (NRC) annual Healthcare Market Guide survey, the Consumer Choice Awards.
