Clinical Electrophysiology

The Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders that affect the heart and vascular system, as well as the conduct of research in this important field. Led by Drs. Sumeet Chugh, Xunzhang Wang, Michael Shehata and Eugenio Cingolani, our expert team of cardiac electrophysiologists uses a multidisciplinary approach to manage and treat the full spectrum of conditions related to cardiac arrhythmias.

Comprehensive clinical and diagnostic services address conditions as diverse as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia and ventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure, congenital heart disease and familial arrhythmia syndromes. Advanced treatments provided include: cardiac ablation procedures, pacemaker implantation, intracardiac defibrillator (ICD) implantation and optimization, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) device implantation and optimization and genetic testing for familial arrhythmia syndromes.
