Check-in and Registration

Once inside the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center, check-in at the main greeter desk, which is to the right of the entrance.

After checking in, you will be called to Registration, which is through a door to the left of the main greeter desk. In Registration, you will be asked to fill in two questionnaires. One will help us to have a more detailed understanding of your clinical history. The second questionnaire will help determine if an MRI is safe for you. People with various implants (including some breast-tissue expanders) or with metal in their bodies (including some tattoos) may have difficulty with an MRI, which uses a strong magnetic field. The imaging physician needs to be informed of any of these potential problems.

You will be given an identification bracelet and paperwork.

You will then be directed to take the elevators to the lower level to the MR waiting area.

In the MR area, you will hand in your paperwork at the main desk.

There is a comfortable waiting area.

Complimentary coffee, tea and water is available.
