Ryan DellaMaggiora, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates, specializing in shoulder, hand and upper extremity reconstructive surgery.
Dr. DellaMaggiora earned his bachelor’s degree in psychobiology at Claremont McKenna College, graduating magna cum laude. He earned his medical doctorate and completed his internship and residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He fulfilled his first fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the University of California at San Francisco and then completed a second fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Hospital.
Dr. DellaMaggiora has contributed to numerous journal publications and research presentations, and has authored a book chapter on operative techniques for rotator cuffs. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Medical Association.
Dr. DellaMaggiora has also donated much of his expertise abroad. In Jalisco, Mexico, he volunteered in hospitals and health clinics through the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. He served as an English teacher for a continuing education program through the Universidad de Guadalajara.
In addition to English, Dr. DellaMaggiora is also fluent in Spanish.
