Howard Kim MD

Urology

Howard Kim, MD is a board-certified urologist with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group.  

Dr. Kim graduated with distinction from Stanford University and received his medical doctorate from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, where he was president of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.  

He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.  He was the fellow in male reproductive medicine and microsurgery at Cornell Institute for Reproductive Medicine and The Population Council.

Dr. Kim was instructor in surgery (urology) at Harvard Medical School and instructor in urology at Weill Cornell Medical College.  He was appointed assistant in urology at Massachusetts General Hospital and at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, as well as associate attending physician at The Rockefeller University Hospital.

Dr. Kim received several clinical and research awards including the Ferdinand C. Valentine Fellowship and teaching awards at Stanford University and Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Kim authored multiple publications in his field.

In addition to his specialty training in microsurgery (vasovasostomy, vasoepididymostomy, microsurgical sperm extraction, varicocelectomy, etc.) and no-scalpel no-needle vasectomy, he is experienced in laparoscopic surgery.  Dr. Kim's clinical interests include general urology, andrology, male infertility, erectile and sexual dysfunction. 

Dr. Kim is a native of California and is also fluent in Korean.
