Steven Sykes, MD

Clinical Service Chief, Department of Neurology

Steven Sykes is the Clinical Service Chief in the department of neurology. He is a board-certified neurologist, clinical neurophysiologist and is an assistant clinical professor in the Cedars-Sinai department of neurology.

Dr. Sykes obtained his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and his bachelor's degree with highest honors in neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his residency in neurology at UCLA and served as the Administrative and Educational Chief Resident. Dr. Sykes completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Sykes joined the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group in 2007 and was the recipient of the Physician of the Year award in 2008. He was also honored with the Friends of Nursing Award by the Cedars-Sinai nursing staff in 2009 and the Golden Hippocampus Teaching Award by the residents of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center neurology training program in 2014. Dr. Sykes is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
