Suketu Vaishnav, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates. His practice focuses on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of shoulder, hip and knee disorders,specializing in the arthroscopic treatment of sports injuries.
Dr. Vaishnav earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, San Diego, followed by his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He performed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center and a sports medicine fellowship at Steadman-Hawkins Sports Medicine Clinic in Vail, Colorado, focusing on microfracture techniques to regenerate damaged cartilage. While in Colorado, Dr. Vaishnav served as a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team and accompanied the team to World Cup competitions. He went on to complete a second fellowship in shoulder surgery at the San Francisco Shoulder, Elbow, and Hand Clinic. Dr. Vaishnav performs complex and revision shoulder replacements, including the "reverse" arthroplasty technique.
Dr. Vaishnav’s clinical interests include shoulder, elbow, knee and hip arthroscopy as well as open shoulder and elbow reconstruction. He is published in numerous journals, including Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Journal of Hand Surgery and the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Vaishnav is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
