Theodore Stein, MD, is a board-certified internist and gastroenterologist with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.

Dr. Stein attended Albany Medical College in New York where he earned his medical degree. He earned a bachelor's degree from Pomona College in California and a master's degree in nutrition from the University of California, Davis. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the Veterans Administration Wadsworth Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Stein completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of California, Los Angeles, Medical Center.

Dr. Stein has been with the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group since 1989 and currently serves as the president of its Board of Directors. He has been a clinical chief, division of gastroenterology, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; an associate clinical professor, department of medicine, UCLA School of Medicine; an attending physician in gastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; a proctor for gastroenterology fellow endoscopy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; an associate director, Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; a member of the Technology and Assessment Committee, American Society Gastrointestinal Endoscopy; a national field medical advisor for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation; and the president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
