Child Neurology RotationResidents in the PGY 3 year will complete three blocks of child neurology training that will consist of inpatient and outpatient consultation experiences. Residents will spend two months at the Ronald Reagan Medical Center at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) that has particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of childhood epilepsy. The residents will be part of a team that includes a child neurology fellow and UCLA adult neurology resident. The third month will take place at Cedars-Sinai under the supervision of Dr. Jane Tavyev who has special expertise in developmental disorders including autism. At Cedars-Sinai, residents will do inpatient consultations and attend outpatient clinic two days per week, including a developmental delay clinic.
Residents on this rotation take at home call on average once every 4 -5 nights.
