Neuro-ICU RotationNeurology residents will complete a two block Neurocritical Care rotation in both the PGY 3 and PGY 4 years of the residency. This rotation takes place in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro-ICU), a 12-bed fully equipped modern intensive care unit. The Neuro-ICU is devoted chiefly to caring for adult patients. Patient population includes post procedure neurosurgical patients and neurosurgical and neurological patients suffering from severe neurological disorders requiring critical care. The experience in the Neuro-ICU is geared to clinical training in the area of neurocritical care medicine as well as practical experience with neurocritical care procedures.
