Pediatric Neurosurgery Program

The Pediatric Neurosurgery Program at the Department of Neurosurgery recognizes that the prospect of neurosurgery on an infant or child is physically and emotionally trying for patients and their families, as neurological disorders often have broad-reaching effects. The Maxine Dunitz Children's Health Center understands and treats all elements of a child's condition.

Led by Moise Danielpour, MD, the dedicated multidisciplinary pediatric team provides individualized care for your child encompassing a full range of neurological disorders. Our team has a shared goal of delivering a high standard of family-focused care to our smallest patients. These pediatric specialists include:

  • Neurologists
  • Neuroradiologists
  • Neuro- and radiation-oncologists
  • Ophthalmologists
  • Geneticists
  • Neuro-psychologists
  • Rehabilitation specialists
  • Neonatologists and perinatologists
  • Craniofacial and plastic surgeons
  • Pediatric anesthesiologists
  • Neuropathologists
  • Neurophysiologists

As part of the Maxine Dunitz Children's Health Center, the Pediatric Neurosurgery Program strives to make a child's surgical care as reassuring and comfortable as possible. Every aspect of the family centered care we provide - from how we interact with children on their first visit, to the waiting areas, to how we care for them after surgery - is carefully planned to accommodate all concerned.
