The Department of Neurosurgery faculty members actively participate in numerous neurosurgery-focused conferences, professional society engagements and peer-based educational summits. Additionally, the Department of Neurosurgery has initiated educational conferences to meet the tertiary healthcare needs of under-resourced countries.

Advances in Neurology and Neurosurgery Symposium 2011 in Palm Springs, CA

The clinical neurosciences are undergoing rapid changes in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, particularly those concerning surgical treatment options.  After attending this half day course, physicians and other healthcare professionals will have an increased awareness of both established and emerging treatment options for brain tumors, movement (Parkinson's and epilepsy diseases) and spinal disorders, endovascular and stroke treatment.  The program will present the treatment using plenary lectures and will offer participants an opportunity to engage in interactive discussions with renowned faculty who are involved with initiating these neurological advances. 

The conference is being held on June 4, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Palm Springs located at 285 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA  92262.
