Molecular Pathology

The Molecular Pathology service uses state-of-the-art assays  for the diagnosis, prognosis and individualized predictive response to therapy in solid tumors and hematopoietic malignancies.   Molecular testing is used in genetics and pharmacogenomics to screen for inherited disorders, and to genetically determine an individual’s best choice and response to drugs, Genetic testing also is used for the diagnosis of infectious organisms.  The Cytogenetics service is seamlessly integrated with the molecular pathology service, synergizing technologies for best diagnosis and patient outcome in genetics and cancer.
