Biomedical research is a major component of Cedars-Sinai's mission and is critical to our commitment of maintaining excellence in patient care.

Cedars-Sinai is currently conducting numerous research projects through the Burns and Allen Research Institute. These projects encompass basic, clinical and health services research and cover the entire spectrum of disease investigation, including:

  • Biochemical analysis
  • Comparative and animal research
  • Clinical investigation
Exciting new advancements are occurring daily in the fields of brain tumors in children, blindness, kidney diseases, transplantation, skeletal diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, epilepsy and new technology in minimally invasive surgery.
