Seasons Program
SEASONS is the Geriatric Intensive Outpatient Program for people 55 and older who:
- Feel hopeless and helpless
- Have changed eating and sleeping habits
- Have anxiety and panic attacks
- Do not enjoy activities they once did
- Are less able to function in daily life
- Have had major personality changes
- Are withdrawn from family and friends
- Have self-destructive thoughts
- Depend on prescriptions, recreational drugs or alcohol
The SEASONS Program teaches patients how to cope with aging and helps them maintain their highest level of independence. The program offers many benefits, including:
- Skills to cope with and manage depression, anxiety, grief and issues of loss
- Improved sleep, appetite and concentration
- More social interaction
- Increased connections with family and friends
- Reintegration into the community
- Enhanced sense of pleasure
- Medication management and stabilization
- Start of recovery from addictions
All patients have their own treatment goals. They attend an intensive program for three-and-a-half hours daily over five days. Different group therapies help them meet their goals. We provide transportation and lunch.
