Research
Philip Frykman, MD received NIH funding for basic science research in the area of Hirschsprung's disease. This holds promise to better understand the disease, it's complications and methods of treatment. David Bliss, MD has published widely in areas such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia, trauma, critical care, appendicitis, ECMO, and statistics.
With the addition of a full-time nurse practitioner, Lori Compton, the Cedars-Sinai Division of Pediatric Surgery will be exploring avenues of clinical research including national collaborative trials.
