Beta Blockers During Surgery
Many patients with heart disease take beta blockers on a regular basis to help treat blood pressure problems, control the heart rate and treat certain heart conditions.
It is important that such patients continue to get beta blockers during surgery.
The chart below shows the percentage of eligible patients undergoing surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center who received beta blockers during surgery.
A higher number is better than a lower one.
The chart above shows how Cedars-Sinai's performance on this measure compared with the top 10% of hospitals in the United States, the national average for hospitals, the top 10% of hospitals in California and the California average.
