David H. Geller, MD, PhD
David H. Geller, MD, PhD is a pediatric endocrinologist in the Department of Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Geller's research has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals including: Nature Genetics, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Molecular Endocrinology, Endocrinology, Endocrine Research, Biochemical Journal, Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism, Analytical Biochemistry, Journal of Pediatrics, Fertility and Sterility and the Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism. A well sought after speaker, he has conducted more than 30 lectures, seminars and presentations on endocrinology-related issues at national and international conferences.
Dr. Geller's community service is extensive. He is a member of the Advisory Panel for the California Newborn Screening Task Force, a founding board member of Fit 4 Free, a co-founder of the Partnership for Health Minds children's reading program, and a lecturer for the Bureau of Jewish Education. He has previously served as a board member for LA Homeless.com and a consultant for the Trinity Care children's hospice. He also serves as a member of Cedars-Sinai's Community Speakers Bureau.
Dr. Geller is a member of several professional associations including: the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society where he serves as a member and current Chair of the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee, the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, for whom he serves as a Pediatric Endocrine Committee member, and the Androgen Excess Society.
Dr. Geller graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in medical microbiology. He earned his medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago where he also earned a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology. He completed his internship and residency in general pediatrics at the University of California, Los Angeles and both a clinical fellowship in pediatric endocrinology and a post-doctoral research fellowship in molecular steroidogenesis at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Geller is board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and in pediatric endocrinology by the Sub-Board of Pediatric Endocrinology.
