Therapeutic trials, outcome measures, pre-clinical biomarkers, genetic susceptibility and environmental risk for pathogenesis of rheumatic diseases with a particular focus on vasculitis and systemic lupus erythematosus.Therapeutic trials, outcome measures, pre-clinical biomarkers, genetic susceptibility and environmental risk for pathogenesis of rheumatic diseases with a particular focus on vasculitis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
Current investigations include:
Biomarkers for disease activity in large-vessel vasculitis; imaging techniques in vasculitis; therapeutic trials in vasculitis and systemic lupus erythematosus; outcome measures to determine clinical efficacy in systemic lupus erythematosus; determinants of genetic susceptibility to developing vasculitis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
