Ruchira Garg, MD, FACC, FASE is Director of Congenital Non-invasive Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai's Pediatrics Department and Heart Institute. She is board certified in pediatric cardiology.
Dr. Garg has been invited to lecture and has written numerous articles and abstracts on pediatric heart disease and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). She is a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography and American College of Cardiology as well as a member of the Society for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
After earning a bachelor’s degree, with honors and Phi Beta Kappa, in premedical sciences at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dr. Garg earned her medical degree at The Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Pathology Honor Society. She completed a pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by pediatric cardiology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She followed this with senior fellowship training in non-invasive imaging, focusing on cardiac MRI and echocardiography, including fetal and transesophageal echocardiography at The Children’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts.
After completion of her training, Dr. Garg established a cardiac MRI program at The Children’s Hospital, Denver and then moved to Miami, Florida to establish and run cardiac MRI programs in both Miami and Orlando.
