Imaging Core

The Imaging Core of the Biomedical Imaging Research Institute is an advanced imaging center that provides comprehensive imaging services for the basic and clinical research community at Cedars-Sinai. Designed for human and animal research subjects, this state-of-the-art imaging facility exists to support researchers addressing important questions in cardiovascular diseases, cancer, neuroscience, regenerative medicine and more.

The 7,000 plus square feet facility houses comprehensive facilities for human and large animal (MRI, PET/CT) and small animal imaging (MRI, PET, SPECT, CT, X-ray and bioluminescence/ fluorescence), along with ancillary support space including wet lab space, a cell and chemical preparation room, a radiolaboratory, image processing workstations, animal holding rooms and rooms for human volunteer preparation and procedures.
