Andrei Kramerov, MD, PhD
Project Scientist

Andrei Kramerov, MD, PhD, is studying CK2 inhibition for retinal angiogenesis and gene therapy in corneal stem cell cultures.

Ruchi Shah, PhD
Postdoctoral Scientist

Ruchi Shah, PhD, received her doctorate in biochemistry and systems biology from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., in 2017. Her graduate work focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in alcoholic liver injury and fibrosis. As a postdoctoral scientist, Shah is studying the DNA methylation patterns in diabetic and nondiabetic corneolimbal cells and induced pluripotent stem cells and investigating the role of Wnt5a in epithelial wound healing in the diabetic cornea.

Sue Turjman, BS
Research Associate I

Sue Turjman graduated with a bachelors of science in biology from Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles. Her research interests are in the differentiation abilities of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). She is currently working to differentiate iPSCs from diabetic and nondiabetic donors into limbal epithelial stem cells.
