The Division of Neuropsychology at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is dedicated to training postdoctoral residents in the specialty of clinical neuropsychology. Neuropsychological services are provided to individuals undergoing inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation. Training is focused on providing neuropsychological assessment, emotional and personality testing and psychotherapeutic intervention.
The residency program's mission of training postdoctoral residents fits within the Cedars-Sinai mission of the "education of practitioners." This emphasis is also reflected in the mission statement of the Division of Neuropsychology.
The mission of the Division of Neuropsychology is to support and facilitate the goals and strategic plan of Cedars-Sinai while remaining adherent to the ethical principles of psychologists and code of conduct of the American Psychological Association. Members of the Division of Neuropsychology thus serve to promote the development of Cedars-Sinai toward its fullest potential as a research, training and health service facility while simultaneously promoting the fullest possible recovery of the patients served by Cedars-Sinai toward the resumption of a dignified and challenging life.
