Sample Submission Process

  1. Register your samples and payment information on iLab(Opens in a new tab)
    • Provide as much sample information as possible. This will help us in understanding your samples for downstream analysis and troubleshooting.
    • Assign a sample number to each sample. Provide the sample number and name in the Sample Information Table or in an Excel spreadsheet (attach to iLab request or email).
    • Label tubes or vials by sample number only. Label on cap and side of tube.
    • Use the following vessels to store samples.
      • DNA and RNA: PCR tube strips. No microcentrifuge tubes or 96‑well plates.
      • Cell or nuclei suspensions: LoBind 1.5 microcentrifuge tubes. No 15 ml or FACS tubes.
      • Frozen tissue: Tissue vials. No microcentrifuge tubes.
    • Select appropriate payment information
  2. Submit Samples
    • At Pacific Design Center Blue Building, Room B230.17. Sample drop off hours 10 a.m.‑4:30 p.m.
    • At our Satellite Lab in Davis Building, Room 5009, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m.‑11 a.m.
    • For external investigators please contact us at genomics@cshs.org for detailed instructions.
