Freedland Lab
The Freedland Laboratory focuses on urologic diseases with an emphasis on prostate cancer pathophysiology. Work in the Freedland Lab examines the role of lifestyle in the development and progression of prostate cancer. Information discovered in the Freedland Lab can be used to develop easily implemented lifestyle interventions to prevent premature morbidity and mortality due to urologic diseases. The Freedland Lab also studies causes of racial disparities in prostate cancer and prostate cancer risk stratification.
A bedside-to-bench and back again approach drives our research. Working together with collaborators inside and outside Cedars-Sinai, the Freedland Lab aims ultimately to make a difference in how patients are managed.
The Freedland Laboratory is affiliated with the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Institute, Surgery Department, Division of Urology and the Center for Integrated Research in Cancer and Lifestyle.
